Squelch level — threshold for opening the squelch gate.

0 (open) – 9 (tightest)

Notes

Level 0 = always open (no squelch). Level 9 = only very strong signals open squelch.

How to access it

Press MENU on the radio to open the menu.
Scroll with up/down arrows until you see SQL.
Press MENU again to enter the setting.
Use up/down to change the value, then MENU to save, or EXIT to cancel.
