How to access it

  1. Press MENU on the radio to open the menu.
  2. Scroll with up/down arrows to menu 23: VOX Switch.
  3. Press MENU again to enter the setting.
  4. Use up/down to change the value, then MENU to save, or EXIT to cancel.

  • Squelch— Squelch threshold — higher values require stronger signals to open the audio gate
  • RX Save— Battery-saver ratio — duty cycle of receiver active time vs sleep time in standby
  • VOX Level— VOX sensitivity — how loud audio must be to trigger voice-activated TX
  • VOX Delay— VOX hang time — how long TX stays active after voice drops, preventing rapid cycling
  • TX OVer Time— TX timeout timer — automatically ends transmission after this duration to prevent accidental long keydowns
