How to access it

  1. Press MENU on the radio to open the menu.
  2. Scroll with up/down arrows to menu 44: Side Tone.
  3. Press MENU again to enter the setting.
  4. Use up/down to change the value, then MENU to save, or EXIT to cancel.

Related tuning

  • Freq Step— VFO step size — the increment when tuning up/down with arrows
  • Busy Lockout— Busy Channel Lockout — prevents TX when a signal is already present on the RX frequency
